Rooibos Tea, Caffeine Free!

Rooibos Tea, Caffeine Free!

Here’s what I’m loving right now! Rooibos tea!

Rooibos tea originated in Africa, and is also called red bush tea.

It’s an herbal tea that comes from the rooibos plant, and has a robust taste, hence the name! 🙂

Rooibos tea is rich in antioxidants, is dense with minerals, improves blood circulation, and SETTLES THE STOMACH! Yes, you heard it right!

Rooibos tea, much like the other herbal teas that are our BFFs such as peppermint and ginger, have a calming effect on the digestive system. Rooibos’ contains high levels of quercetin (a high potent flavonol anti-inflammatory), that can reduce stomach spasms and ease digestion.

Not to mention, it tastes delicious! I drank mine this evening with a splash of soy creamer and one packet of all natural stevia. In Africa, it is usually topped with milk and sugar, or honey and lemon.
