IBS Sister Top Summer Picks
Hi Sisters! I hope everyone had a great weekend, yesterday was the Summer Solstice! Happy Summer! I’ve been playing Calvin Harris “Summer” on repeat all week!
Not only did Summer start yesterday, it was also Father’s Day, and my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary! We were busy 🙂 And here we are!
I was at my parents house, but here are some cool(er) places to be during the Summer Solstice!
I wanted to give all my Sisters an inside look at my must have summer products!
EltaMD Broad-Spectrum SPF 40
This is by far my favorite face sunscreen ever. I used the tinted kind, and it’s long lasting and looks great too, and is very lightweight! The dermatologist recommended it to me, and I’ll be wearing this all day, everyday, all year long! But especially this Summer 🙂
Buy it here, or search on their site for a retailer near you! EltaMD Tinted Sunscreen on Amazon
Ulta Flawless Primer
After your sunscreen dries, It’s very important to wear primer, especially in the summer! This keeps your make up lasting longer in that summer heat. I like this relatively inexpensive option from Ulta, who sometimes has really great deals on their Ulta products! This will keep you looking flawless all day long, even in the summer sun!
Buy it here! Ulta Flawless Prime
bareMinerals BareSkin Foundation
If you are going out and the tinted sunscreen just isn’t enough coverage this summer, I love this bareMinerals Bareskin, water based foundation. It’s very important to choose a silicon based foundation (water based) during the summer, so you won’t feel like you’re melting like the Wicked Witch of the West! It’s also good to have waterproof concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and cream eye shadows to keep your make up lasting all day in the extreme heat!
I picked mine up here! bareMinerals BARESKIN Foundation at Sephora
Vornado Flippi V6 Personal Air Circulator
I had to get a fan for my bathroom on Friday! My apartment bathroom doesn’t have any vents from the AC, and I do not want all my make up sweating off even before I leave the house! And with it being 101 this week in NC, this fan was a must. This keeps me from having to go stick my head in the freezer 🙂 I got this little guy at Target for $14.99! (This color must only be available in stores).

Maybelline FIT ME! Matte + Poreless Powder
This inexpensive powder is always in my purse, and especially handy during the summer! When I’ve been running around all day and sweating, this is a perfect touch up!
There’s a special offer going on right now at Target! Maybelline FIT ME! Matte + Poreless Powder
Trader Joe’s Aloe Vera Gel
For just $3.00, you can have this delicious smelling 12 oz. bottle of Aloe Vera Gel from Trader Joe’s. It comes in 12 oz. bottles, and softens and soothes sunburned and chapped skin. Make sure you preserve your tan by applying aloe vera after your sunning sessions, so you don’t peel!

Ribbon Hair Elastics
Don’t you hate when you use a hair tie and it breaks your hair, leaves a crease in it, and cuts off the circulation of your wrist? Fear not! This new popular way to tie up your hair doesn’t crease it, won’t leave marks on your wrist, or break off your delicate locks!
I got mine at Target! Ribbon Hair Elastics
Outshine Coconut Waters with Pineapple
Are you tired of not being able to eat ice cream at the family cookouts or join in on FROYO dates with your friends? I was, and this was the perfect substitute! On a hot day, this is just the sweet treat I need to keep me cool and that sweet tooth satisfied, without dipping into the dairy! Trader Joe’s and Silk brand are also starting to make ice cream with coconut and almond milk! The options just keep getting better for us IBS Sisters!
