Happy St. Patricks Day- The Shamrock Smoothie

Hi Sisters! I hope you all are having a great week ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry if I have been a little MIA, I have been fighting off a terrible cold! It’s been one of those colds that just won’t go away. By incorporating more fruits and veggies into my diet, like this Shamrockย Smoothie, that will surely have me feeling better in no time! Just like the Shamrock Shake from McDonalds, it’s GREEN for St. Patty’s Day, and Healthier, too! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I definitely encourage you to start off your St. Patty’s Day breakfast with this delicious recipe! Who knows, with it being green and all, maybe drinking it will bring you some good luck ๐Ÿ˜‰ What do you feel lucky about? I feel lucky to have all of my IBS Sisters!

Due to the holiday, I labeled this shake Theย Shamrock Smoothieย because it’s a little different than the original Green Goddess Smoothie I posted about, but it’s just as delicious! ๐Ÿ™‚

The Shamrock Smoothie

1 banana (frozen, optional)

1 cup of spinach or kale

1 tbsp. ofย chia seeds

1.5 cups of milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond milk)

1/4 cup of gluten free oats

1 tbsp. ofย almond butter

1 packet of stevia

Blend and grate, enjoy!

If you have some of your vegan protein powder left over from making the protein bites, go ahead and throw some of that in, too! But if it’s chocolate flavored, prepare to have a [darker] green smoothie ๐Ÿ™‚
